Emma Watson

Emma Watson's magic extends far beyond her role as the very intelligent and loyal Hermoine Granger in the iconic series of Harry Potter. After pursuing her own education, both at Brown University and Worcester College, Oxford, she's selflessly worked to promote education for young women across the globe.

Her extensive efforts earned her appointment as a UN Women Goodwill ambassador, where she's assisted in surfacing and combating the issue of gender equality. In 2014 she delivered a moving and very important speech about how to combat this social injustice at the UN Conference. It was here that she launched the HeForShe initiative, which aims to rally men and boys to join the feminist battle for true equality.

"It is time that we all see gender as a spectrum instead of two sets of opposing ideals.”

“How can we effect change in the world when only half of it is invited or feel welcome to participate in the conversation?”

Her activism was publicly acknowledged when she was placed number 26 on TIME 100 list of the world's most influential people. We can all be majorly inspired by Emma's drive to tackle social injustice, and her continued fight has led us to be so proud to call this #GirlBoss a Woman of NOTE.
